Geomagnetic field models

Researchers at the division develop some of the most advanced theoretical models of the Earth's magnetic field used today in geomagnetism research, not least the CHAOS model series. This includes collaboration with international partners and draws on the division's wealth of experience designing and operating both ground- and space-based magnetometer platforms.
